Redesign Finished

Today I finished redesigning my new site and got it uploaded. Check it out! I would have finished it sooner, but I have been looking for a new place to live, and haven't had as much time to work on my web site as I would like.

I will be adding some new pages in the near future, including a page of logos I have designed, so stay tuned!

It has been awhile.

It has been awhile since I have written here. I started this blog for an assignment for a class I was taking, but I have recently decided to keep it going. I won't be posting as often as did in the beginning, but I will post whenever I add content to my web site. Here is what I have been working on lately:

My team and I created this web site for the 2009 Business Professionals of America Web Site Team Competition. We received 1st place at State. Unfortunately the National Conference that was going to be held in Dallas was cancelled due to the swine flu therefore we weren't able to compete at Nationals. I have been working with Russell Frommer to get his site up and running for his company, Datum Horizon Geological Consultants.

I have also been working on redesigning my web site. Here is a sneak peek of the new design:

Photography

I took an Introduction to Photography this semester. It was a black and white film class. I learned a lot of new concepts on how to take good pictures.


For the final, we had to create a series of six pictures that were related in some way. I spent weeks trying to decide what I wanted to do. I eventually decided to find new uses for technological junk. I took three pictures of the junk just sitting there going to waste. Then I took the other three of the junk being used.

Next semester I am going to take a digital photography class in color as well as a photoshop class. It will be a lot of fun.

Squisitos Restaurant

For my graphic design class this semester, I had to make a new stationary set based for a company I made up. I chose to create an Italian Restaurant called Squisitos, which is Italian for delicious. Squisitos is casual restaurant with a family friendly atmosphere.

The stationary set includes the following:

• Letterhead
• Envelope
• Business Card

These have been uploaded to the print media section of my portfolio.

Kitty and Puppy Dress Up Games

A lot of people have asked me about my dress up games, so I figured I would give a history of the games for anyone interested.

I originally created the kitty dress up game for my neice who was about 5 at the time. She enjoyed it so much I decided to post it online when I first created my portfolio. I also submitted it to a few dress up game directories. The game got so much traffic, that I decided to created a puppy version. My niece is now 7, and she still enjoys playing both games.

Although I made the graphics simple and bright in order to attract young kids, many adults have enjoyed playing the games as well.

I want to create some new clothing and accessories for both games for Halloween, but since I am taking 17 credits this semester, I may not get them created in time. Don't worry, I will add more accessories when I get the chance!
